The Bixter practice looks after a little over a thousand patients on the west side of the Shetland mainland. The practice provides general medical services and dispenses medicines for all its patients. Registration with the practice is limited to the geographical area bounded by Tresta in the east, East Burrafirth in the north and the Gruting/Bridge of Walls road junction in the west.
